Our Identity
Above all else, Good Shepherd is a church that loves Jesus Christ because of who He is and what He has done for us. Therefore, we find our identity first and foremost as followers of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the focus of all that we do, not only on Sunday, but every day of the week. In addition, our church is simply one part of the Church, which consists of all the followers of Jesus throughout every period of history and every people, language, nation, and tribe. The basic beliefs of all Christian churches are summarized in the Apostles' Creed & Nicene Creed, which we regularly recite together during our Sunday worship services.
Our Purpose
Why does Good Shepherd exist? Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church exists to glorify God through preaching and teaching the truth which leads to godliness. Being covenantally bound to our Redeemer, and out of loving obedience to Him, we are committed to the advancement of Christ's kingdom in our homes, our community, and throughout the world.
Our Basic Principles
There is a lot that goes on at Good Shepherd on Sundays and throughout the week, but you could summarize what we do around three basic commitments:
